An Auditor for All Minnesotans
“I’m proud to serve as your watchdog: Holding local government spending accountable and protecting your freedom to make decisions in your own community. Together, we can protect the good work we do close to home – I’d be honored to have your vote.” - State Auditor Julie Blaha
Meet Julie
Since being elected in 2018, Julie Blaha has enthusiastically served as an unbiased state auditor for all Minnesotans. As the state auditor, Julie’s job is to act as the arbiter of truth in an era of widespread misinformation and to protect the solutions developed at the local level of government.
Serving as Minnesota’s financial watchdog, Julie and her staff at the Office of the State Auditor oversee more than $60 billion, mostly in local spending. She ensures transparent, effective, and accountable government through services such as audits, investigations, and compliance checks. Julie and her team support local governments and policymakers by providing education, training, clear data, and the comprehensible analysis they need to make the best, most informed decisions in communities across our state. She also represents Minnesotans on boards that deal with issues like investments, economic development, housing, and pensions.
Julie knows that when neighbors have clear, quality, focused information, they can find solutions that directly improve the lives of Minnesotans – that’s why she’s running to be re-elected as Minnesota’s State Auditor.
